DreamCatchers focuses on several areas of interest including education, sobriety, language preservation & religious freedom.
Educational Support.
To support organizations which assist Native American people in educational endeavors including; THE OTUNHAN FUND, based at The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Otunhan assists students who have received scholarships for college tuition, but lack funds for special expenses like clothes, tools and conference fees.
DreamCatchers Film Fund.
Functions as a funding source for Indigenous dramatic filmmakers whose projects reflect the values which DreamCatchers seeks to promote. The first to receive assistance is Peter Bratt’s “FOLLOW ME HOME”, the saga of 4 urban muralists dealing with issues of race and healing, expected in theaters in Spring of 1996.
